For children’s sake, don’t let them close TYC

To the editor:

I’m a 9-year-old girl in Tiverton named Remy. I love to swim and sail. I do this at the Tiverton Yacht Club. The TYC however has a chance of closing down. This would disappoint many people and especially the children. It’s important to my friends and I that we keep the TYC open. We can’t stand the thought of losing the pool, beach and swim and sail training.

Ever since 2002 when the clubhouse burned down the TYC has had it rough. The Campbells are the main problem. They dislike the TYC’s noise. The Campbells have been fighting against us ever since they moved in which was awhile after the TYC began.
The TYC needs help and the children are trying to get it. People should know about the TYC and the problems we are facing.
