The TYC Sail Training Program will offer lessons at all levels for children. Adult sailing classes may be arranged on an individual and fee basis.

The school’s fleet is comprised of 420’s, Optimist Dinghies, Vanguard Bugs and a Hunter 140, with three safety boats that escort the students during the lessons. Students are encouraged to bring their own Sunfish, Opti’s, Lasers, and 420’s to class. The instructors are certified by the United States Sailing Association, and have first aide training.

KEY DATES for 2010 SEASON:

APRIL 30 DEADLINE - EARLY REGISTRATION FOR TYC MEMBERS TO SUBMIT APPLICATION AND DEPOSIT FOR SAIL TRAINING CLASSES
JUNE 17 (THURSDAY) MANDATORY PARENT ORIENTATION MEETING, BALANCE OF SAILING CLASS FEES DUE.
JUNE 28 (MONDAY) 1ST DAY OF CLASSES FOR SAIL TRAINING
AUGUST 20 (FRIDAY) AWARDS NIGHT AND COOK-OUT
AUGUST 20 SAIL TRAINING CLASSES END
AUGUST 12-15 NBYA RACE WEEK, HOSTED BY, Conanicut Yacht Club at Ft Getty Recreational Area (Jamestown , RI)
