TYC Pool Safety Notes:

Safety is the number one concern of the TYC Pool Committee and staff. It is because of safety concerns that it is necessary to occasionally restrict the number of swimmers using the club pool. Problems have occurred in the past in the afternoon when Sail Training has released their students and they `invade' the pool in mass. This creates a significant safety problem for the single lifeguard on duty to both watch swimmers, and control `horseplay'. It is also a particular concern for members with small children using the pool. The Pool Committee and staff will make every effort to accommodate everyone wishing to use the pool by utilizing other qualified staff during this period, as available. It may, however, be necessary for the lifeguard on duty to limit the number of swimmers at any one time.

Another safety reminder, is that children under thirteen are not allowed to use the pool (club) unattended. The Pool Committee and staff thank you for your cooperation and look forward to an enjoyable and safe summer!
